Eurozone to increase interest rates The European Central Bank will most likely increase the base rate to 2.25% on the 1st December. The Fed will probably increase interest rates to 4.5 percent in January. No new interest rate is expected in Norway until March. Long interest rates, both abroad and at home, will remain stable at a low level. In spite of high energy prices, underlying inflation in most countries is low, and there are no signs of slower growth.
